Dissociated Looking Glass (2022)

Created after the loss of a loved one, this piece was made with the intention of showing the cycle of dissociation carried by someone within a dangerous situation. The danger is represented by the meteor slowly getting closer to the clock as time progresses, while the person represented ignores that danger until the last moment whilst believing everything will be okay until faced with the fact that it isn’t.

Hand-painted using water soluble oils and a rag on a 30x30 canvas.
